What styles of windows do you offer?

We offer five different styles of windows: casement, tilt & turn, sash, bay, and bespoke. Each of these styles can be customised to fit your specific requirements, and we offer a range of colours and finishes to choose from.

What materials can I choose from for my windows?

We offer uPVC and aluminium frames for our windows. Both materials have their own unique benefits, and our expert team can help you decide which is the best choice for your project.

How many colour options do I have for my windows?

Depending on the material you choose, you can select from up to 150+ RAL colours. We also offer dual-coloured frames, allowing you to have different colours on the inside and outside of your windows.

Can you install windows in unique shapes or sizes?

Yes! We offer a bespoke window service that can accommodate unique shapes and sizes. Our expert team has previously installed arched, circular, and triangular windows, among others.

What window furniture options do you offer?

We offer a range of window furniture options, from sleek and contemporary handlebars to traditional peg handles. These can be fitted in a variety of colour choices to add the perfect finishing touches to your new windows.

What types of glazing options are available?

We offer double, comfort, and secondary glazing options. Double glazing is the most popular choice as it provides excellent thermal performance and is cost-effective. Comfort glass is ideal for properties in noisy areas or harsh weather conditions, as it enhances thermal performance. Secondary glazing is approved for use in conservation areas and allows you to upgrade your window's performance without compromising on heritage style.

How do your windows improve energy efficiency and security?

What is the process for getting new windows installed?

We offer a complete service from design to installation. Our expert team will work with you to choose the best windows for your home, and our installation team will ensure a smooth and hassle-free installation process.

The length of the installation process will depend on the size and complexity of your project. Our expert team will provide you with a detailed timeline during the design process.

Do you offer a warranty on your windows?

What types of doors do you offer?

We offer a wide range of doors, including front doors, back doors, sliding patio doors, and bi-fold doors. Our doors are available in uPVC, aluminium, or composite materials depending on your requirements and budget.

What colours are available for your doors?

All our doors are available in a range of striking colours with your choice of modern and traditional hardware to suit your home's existing character. We offer over 150 RAL colours to choose from, including monochromatic grey, black or white, or classic woodgrain appearances.

Can you help me choose the best style for my home?

Yes, we have an extensive history behind us, and we can advise on the best styles for your individual requirements. We offer a range of designs, including heritage doors and black composite front doors, and can help you choose the perfect front door to complement your home.

Do you offer made-to-measure doors?

Yes, all our doors are made-to-measure, and we can incorporate decorative furniture and bespoke glazing for a new door that is sure to impress your guests

What types of back doors do you offer?

Our replacement back door range includes bi-fold doors, sliding patio doors, and French doors. You can decide between our four durable materials and a variety of attractive colours for a tailor-made solution.

Are your doors secure?

Yes, we manufacture our new doors from high-quality materials, using pioneering fabrication techniques to maximize their durability. Our doors feature sturdy door panels, tightly fitted frames, multi-point locks, and toughened glazing to provide a resistant door that will stay intact from the toughest forces. Our replacement doors are rigorously tested to ensure their protection from common burglar techniques, including lock picking and drilling.

Can you include additional security features?

Yes, as our doors are custom designed, we can include additional security features, such as security chains and night latches, for added peace of mind.

Do your doors have good energy ratings?

Yes, our doors can achieve A+ energy ratings, the best capabilities available on the market. Their inventive designs incorporate features such as advanced double glazing or comfort glass, edged spacer bars, chambered door frames, airtight profiles, and thermal break barriers. Together, they resist energy loss, retaining the warmth inside the room.

Do you offer installation services?

Yes, we have been installing home improvements, including quality doors, to customers across Kent for over 50 years. Our staff are excellently trained and work to meet industry regulations, maximizing the security of your home. We're experienced in both domestic and commercial projects, so no installation is too difficult for us.

Do I need planning permission for my conservatory?

For the majority of conservatory installations, planning permission isn't needed. However, some properties in conservation areas or who have already reached maximum allowances may be restricted by permissions. Our expert team will be able to advise on the best solution for you if this is the case.

How energy-efficient are your conservatories?

Our conservatories offer exceptional energy efficiency capabilities, with their innovative designs that efficiently keep the warmth inside of the room without letting the cold air in. Our conservatory glazing panels are chemically treated to improve their thermal capabilities, alongside their bespoke argon-filled inter pane designs.

What are the costs involved in installing a conservatory?

We offer competitive prices and flexible finance options to help you get a quality installation that meets your budget. As part of the design process, we'll send out an experienced surveyor who will confirm whether you'll need planning permissions. If it is required, we'll take care of the process for you!

Do you make your own products?

No, we only offer an installation service. However, all products are rigorously tested and precision fabricated by industry leaders to meet your exact specifications.

How easy is it to get through to your Aftersales or service team if I have a problem?

Do you promise to offer value for money and long term peace of mind?

Yes, of course. Along with superb build quality, excellent service, and great installation procedures we take great care in ensuring competitive quotes and guaranteed reliability. All of our products are guaranteed for 10 years after installation.

Are your installation teams audited every 3 months by British Standards Institute to reaffirm your reputation for quality installations?

Yes, we pride ourselves on the quality of our installations and are tested every 3 months to ensure this quality stays superb.

Do you provide free, no obligation quotations?

Yes. Each quote we provide is completely free from any fees, and carries of course, no obligations with it.

Do you comply with all existing and forthcoming building regulations?

Yes, we ensure each of our products and home improvements complies with current and forthcoming building regulations.

Do you comply with energy saving regulations?

Yes, we take every effort in ensuring each product we build complies with these standards.

Do you take on commercial projects?

Yes, we do. In the past we have undertaken many education and Government projects, as well as private sector commercial projects. For more information visit our SEH Commercial website. We also take on civil engineering, joinery, surfacing, and development projects.

Do you only use your own surveyors?

Yes, we only use our own surveyors. Each of our surveyors are trained to the highest standard and can plan for any home improvement, from the simplest of roofing to the most complicated bespoke house extensions.

Are your installers qualified?

Many of our installers have actually been with us for over 20 years. A prerequisite is that they are NVQ2 qualified and work within the stringent standards and guidelines also laid out by BSI.

Can you provide self-cleaning glass?

Yes, we can.

What accreditations do you have?

Fineline are members of the GGF (Glass and Glazing Federation) who are a respected and well known organisation committed to ensure it’s members perform to the highest standard. We, Fineline, are affiliated to the Government endorsed TrustMark Scheme, which gives customer confidence with proven codes of practice in health & safety, customer care, quality of work, trading practices and customer care. Fineline are also regulated by FENSA (Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme). All windows and doors must comply with FENSA thermal performance standards and regulations.
