Deciding to get a new conservatory is a large decision that may prompt many questions for homeowners, which is why we outline our simple buying process, so you know what to expect throughout the journey.

Free no-obligation quote

Once we’ve established your conservatory design, we’ll provide you with a free no-obligation quote. You’ll receive this within 24 hours of you contacting us or your home visit.

Order your conservatory

After confirmation that you’d like to move forward with a new conservatory, we’ll confirm the final design. This covers decorative features, incorporated windows and doors and brickwork to complement your home. We’ll approve the order and the administration team will pass on your contract to a surveyor. (2-3 days)

If we have not yet received your order deposit, we will request this. (1-2 days from paperwork returned)

Arrange a surveyor visit

You’ll be contacted by a surveyor to arrange a convenient date for both parties to visit your home. They will review the project size and take any additional measurements if needed. The surveyor will note if any planning permission regulations are required and whether conservation area regulations need to be reviewed. (1-2 days)

If this is required to determine the footings of your conservatory, you will be contacted by our conservatory team to arrange for our builders to carry this out. (2-3 days)

Surveyor’s assessment is confirmed

We’ll let you know once the surveyor’s paperwork has been returned to us so that we can continue to process your order. (1-2 days)

Planning permissions are advised if necessary

If permissions are needed for your home extension, our technical department will let you know. With Fineline, you won’t have to worry about gaining approval as we take full care of this, whether it be permitted development, prior approval or full planning building regulations. Once approved, we’ll then update you again. (Up to 2-3 days if no planning. Up to 10 weeks if planning required with no regulations. Up to 13 weeks if planning required with regulations.)

Pre-site check

After any planning permission approvals are confirmed, your designated project manager will contact you to arrange a pre-site check to finalise the details for the installation. This is to ensure that the installation day is as efficient as possible. (1-2 days)

Confirm an installation date

A member of the conservatory department will get in touch to agree suitable dates for your conservatory to be fitted. (1-2 days)

Your conservatory will be manufactured

The factory will receive your individual conservatory design and construct it to the exact specification. The highly trained fabricators use pioneering modern techniques and robust materials to provide a weather-proof, durable and thermally efficient product.

Installation day!

A team of our professional conservatory installers will come to your property at the agreed time to begin the project. With extensive experience behind them, you can be sure it won’t disrupt you or your neighbours. You’ll be able to ask them about maintenance tips and the functionality of the features of your new conservatory.

Follow-up work

In a very small number of cases, remedial work may be needed. We will order any new parts that are required and organise a date to complete the work. (On receipt of parts or 1-2 days if no parts needed).

Installation complete

You’ll receive an email from us to confirm that your new conservatory has been installed. As the project is now finished, we welcome your valuable feedback and Trustpilot reviews. This helps us to pass on your comments to our teams.
